William G. La Fleur, age 67 of Rochelle, IL died in his home Sunday March 28, 2010 surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 6, 1942 in Chicago, IL the son of William and Marie Harris La Fleur. He married Christine Formell Aug. 22, 1964 in Chicago. Preceded by his parents and sister Audrey.

William was a Captain for the Chicago Police Dept. —Served in the U.S. Military as a Marine and also the Army retiring as Brigadier General. William was also a Scout Master for 25 years.Survived by his wife Christine and five children, William (Maria) La Fleur of Mundelein, IL, Shawn (Dawn) La Fleur of Chicago, IL, Ryan (Jenn) La Fleur of Chicago, IL, Garrett (Heidy) La Fleur of Chicago, IL and Elizabeth La Fleur of Rochelle; sister Alice Mae Norton of Chicago. Nine grandchildren Christina, Evangeline, Charlotte, Sophia, William, Julie, Lilly, Garrett and Peter La Fleur.

Visitation will be held on Friday April 9th from 3:00 to 6:45 p.m. at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street Rochelle, IL with a celebration of Life at 7:00 P.M. and Memorial Mass will be held at St Patrick Church on Saturday April 10, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Memorials may go to donors choice.
