CHARLES "WINNIE" BEARDIN, age 77, of Ashton, IL died Monday, April 13, 2009 at Rochelle Community Hospital in Rochelle He was born on Nov. 6, 1931 in Rochelle, the son of Frank and Mary (Williamson) Beardin. Winnie married Carol F. Heiston on Oct. 8, 1971 in Ashton, IL. He was a car salesman and sold his first car at age 15. Winnie retired Nov. 4, 2008 from Dodge City in Rochelle. He loved selling cars and gardening. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Fern Casey, Bernice Spears and Jeanne Mattera; 3 brothers: John, Lee and Al and his Parents.

Survivors include his wife: Carol of Ashton; Sons: Chuck Beardin and Duane Baumgartner
both of Ashton; 3 daughters: Darlene Nass of Rockford , Dawn (Steve) White of Ashton, and
Diane (Curt) Zinke of Ashton; 11 grandchildren: Angela, Krystal, Kyle, Brian, Lisa, Erica, Bradley, Ray, Doug, David and Nicole; 7 great grandchildren; and sister: Katie (Lloyd) Stroud of Rochelle.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 7:00 PM at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle. Visitation at Unger-Horner prior to the service from 4 to 7 PM.
